JANUARY

1: New Year's Day - State Offices Closed.

1-15: Archery Deer Season. For all season regulations, including those pertaining to public lands, consult the current “Oklahoma Hunting Guide” or log on to www.wildlifedepartment.com

1- Feb. 28: Dolese Youth Park Pond trout season begins.

5: The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation Regular Commission Meeting.  Meetings are held monthly at the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation Building (auditorium), 1801 N. Lincoln, Oklahoma City, OK at 9:00 am

6: Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation meeting at the Delta Cafe on 41st just West of Garnett, Tulsa at 6:30 p.m.

8-11: Winter Bird feeder survey. Choose any two days during this time to watch and record the birds at your backyard winter feeders. For more information check out the Web site www.okwinterbirds.com

12: Public hearings being held by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation to collect input on a slate of proposed hunting and fishing regulation changes in Enid, Jenks, Clinton, Oklahoma City, Okmulgee and Poteau.

13: Public hearings being held by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation to collect input on a slate of proposed hunting and fishing regulation changes in Ada, Idabel, Lawton, Muskogee, Ponca City and Woodward.

15: Public hearings being held by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation to collect input on a slate of proposed hunting and fishing regulation changes in Durant, Guymon and Hugo.

17: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - State Offices Closed.
